As a fake tan user, I've always been intrigued by Loving Tan. It seems to be a favorite among beauty youtubers, which made me wonder what all the fuss was about! Well, I finally tested one of their bronzing mousses! Formulated with aloe vera and black walnut extract, the Deluxe Bronzing Mousse is supposed to give a natural looking tan without streaks.

The mousse should be applied on clean, dry and exfoliated skin. I love to use the Loving Tan Polishing Glove because it leaves my skin feeling super soft and completely removes dead skin cells. After the application, avoid contact with water for at least 6 hours.
It has a light powdery floral scent at first, and after a few hours there's a light DHA smell but it's not disgustingly strong and it's completely gone after a shower. I usually apply it at night and take a shower in the morning, so I leave it on my skin for about 8-10 hours.
The Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse dries very fast in comparison to all the other mousses I tried, my skin is completely dry in less than 20 minutes!
The colour guide is a dark reddish brown, so it's easy to see if you missed a spot. But you need to blend it quickly because, like I said, the formula dries fast! Therefore, I suggest to apply this self tanner with the Loving Tan tanning mitt. By the way I heard bad things about the old mitt, but the new mitt is great! It's very sturdy, soft, and the mitt have a plastic liner on the inside to keep self-tan off your hands
Loving Tan recommends to apply moisturizer liberally on the hands and feet (prior to the application), and you should listen to them. lol My first time was a disaster, my hands were orange and a lot darker than my arms! Now I know how to apply it properly on my hands, but that first time was bad. lol
I love the color! My other self tanners (Fake Bake and St Tropez) have a golden olive undertone, while this one has a golden, slightly red undertone. It can look a bit warmer in natural light, but it's not orange.
Without self tanner, my skin tone is lighter than NC15 (if you are familiar with MAC foundation shades). This mousse gives me a dark tan during the first three days (similar to NW30/NC35), and then it slowly fades to a lighter golden brown (slightly darker than NC25).
After 7 days, the color is lighter and more golden (similar to NC20). I can wait up to 10 days if I want, although it's significantly lighter (darker than NC15) and looks a bit patchy.
This is one of the best self tanning mousse I've ever tried! The color is beautiful, it dries fast, doesn't smell too bad, and last up to 10 days on me. My only complaint is that it can turn my hands orange if I'm not careful.
The Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse in Dark retail for $34.95 US for 120ml and is available at usa.lovingtan.com (Use code crystalcandymakeup for a free mitt with any mousse purchase) and Ulta.
