The finish is gorgeous, very glittery with a metallic sheen! The product is highly pigmented as well.
On the eyes, I like to wear them on bare skin or over eyeshadow to add a sparkly finish. On the lips, I find that they work best on top of a matte lipstick (otherwise the glitters tend to disappear in the lipstick). I've only tried them on my eyes and lips though, as I'm not a fan of glitters on my cheeks.
The cream formula dries fast on the skin, and once it sets it doesn't budge or crease into fine lines.
Left to right : Magic, Celestial, Amethyst, Moonstone
This can be a finicky product though. If you apply too much, it can look patchy and flake off as the day goes by. And it's easy to apply too much because the Shimmer Veils are very pigmented, so remember that a little bit goes a long way.
Also, I find that I get the best results if I apply a thin layer and blend with my fingertips. You can apply a second thin layer if you want a very frosty finish, but be careful because it can affect the staying power!
The formula is a bit fussy to work with, but I love them!
Magic is a rosy champagne beige with a glittery metallic finish.
Celestial is a light champagne beige with a glittery metallic finish.
Amethyst is a rosy lavender with a glittery metallic finish.
Moonstone is a bronze with a glittery metallic finish.
The Cover FX Shimmer Veils retail for $34 CAD for 4ml and are available at Sephora and Ulta.

It seems like the Stila ones still have a superior formula
ReplyDeleteLooking at your swatches, I can't wait for my Boxy Charm to come this month. We are getting the shade Amethyst and it looks beautiful. Ill try to remember that less is more with it.
