Best of Beauty 2017 : Top 30!

As you can imagine, as a beauty blogger I have the chance to try a lot of cosmetics. In 2017, I tested more than 700 products! Over the past two weeks, I've made a list of all the products that have been included in my monthly favorites, in order to only select 30 amazing products. Today, I present you these littles gems!

1. Urban Decay De-Slick Complexion Primer ($38 CAD, click here to buy it)
This oil-free primer is specifically formulated to control oils and it really works : My skin is matte for more than 4 hours! It's a finicky product, but it's great for oily skin when you know how to use it. One pump is all I need and I only apply it on my T-zone. I find that it works best with luminous or semi-matte foundations, and if I apply my foundation with a damp Beautyblender.

2. Benefit The POREfessional Pearl Primer ($42 CAD, click here to buy it)
This primer instantly minimize pores, blur fine lines and has a slightly radiant matte finish. If your skin is normal to dry and the original POREfessional was too drying for you, I think you would love this new version! I still love it for my oily skin, though!

3. BareMinerals BarePRO Liquid Foundation ($42 CAD, click here to buy it)
This foundation is amazing for oily skin, one of the best I've tested out! It has a beautiful satin matte finish (not flat matte) and provides medium to full coverage. It lasts 12 hours on me and controls oils remarkably well, even without a primer!


4. Bourjois Healthy Mix Anti-Fatigue Foundation ($35 CAD, click here to buy it)
This vitamin enriched foundation is beautiful on the skin! It provides light to medium coverage, but I can apply a second layer if I prefer medium coverage, and it never look cakey. My skin is very oily and it wore well for 8 hours, although I would recommend to use a mattifying primer with it.

5. NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder ($46 CAD, click here to buy it)
This is THE best undereye setting powder I've ever tried! It doesn't look chalky and doesn't make my undereye look dry or cakey. It's expensive, but the jar last a really long time because you only need a tiny amount of product!

6. BareMinerals Invisible Bronze Powder Bronzer in Tan ($35 CAD, click here to buy it)
This bronzing powder is perfect! The finish is slightly luminous (not glittery) and the shade 'Tan' is a beautiful cool brown with a subtle pink undertone. The formula is easy to blend and doesn't look streaky. I'm in love with this powder!


7. Vichy Teint Ideal Pure Light Face Roll-On ($27 CAD, click here to buy it)
This liquid highlighter is beyond gorgeous, the glow it gives my skin is unreal! It's a translucent pearly white shade, so it looks amazing on super fair skin tones! (but it looks good on medium to tan complexions too) The formula is easy to apply (I like to blend it with my fingertips) and last all day.

8. Make Up For Ever Artist Face Color Trio ($56 CAD, click here to buy them)
The Artist Face Color Powders are nicely pigmented, last all day, and they blend out beautifully without too much effort. The blushes and the highlighters are gorgeous, I love the shades H102, H106, B302, B500 and S310! Also, you can customize your own Artist Face Color palette!

9. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Fix ($26 CAD, click here to buy it)
I have oily eyelids and my makeup lasts all day with this primer! This new shade (a matte yellow beige) is more opaque than the original formula, so it can cover redness and imperfections as well.  This shade was a limited edition, but you can still order it from Urbandecay.ca and Ulta.


10. Rodial Smokey Eye Sculpt Eyeshadow Palette ($45 CAD, click here to buy it)
This palette contains all the shades I need for an everyday makeup look. Each shade is incredibly silky to the touch, even the mattes! The color payoff is great and none of these hues look patchy on the skin.

11. NYX Cosmic Metals Shadow Palette ($10 CAD, click here to buy it)
Inspired by their Cosmic Metals Lip Creams, this palette contains 6 richly pigmented shades with a metallic finish. I love the shades and the color payoff is out of this word! Plus, this palette only cost $10 CAD!

12. NARS Loaded Eyeshadow Palette ($74 CAD, click here to buy it)
The formula is buttery smooth and silky, even the mattes are fabulous. I haven't noticed any patchiness! I love how this palette has a great variety of warm and neutral colors, none of them are too similar to each other. This eyeshadow palette is perfect! This product was a limited edition, but you can still order it from Sephora, Ulta, narscosmetics.com and Nordstrom!


13. Make Up For Ever Lustrous Eyeshadow Palette ($58 CAD, click here to buy it)
This limited-edition palette contains two blushes and ten eyeshadows in matte and metallic finishes. I'm very pleased with the new formula, silky mattes and buttery smooth metallic shades? Yes, please! The eyeshadows have excellent color payoff and blend out beautifully too!

14. Lancôme Le Métallique Liquid Eye Shadows ($30 CAD, click here to buy them)
I love the metallic finish, it's not super frosty but it almost looks wet on the skin. Perfect for the summertime! These eyeshadows are super creamy, easy to use and the colors are very pigmented and opaque. This product was a limited edition, but you can still order it from lancome-usa.com, Ulta and Nordstrom!

15. Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette ($66 CAD, click here to buy it)
This palette is sizzling hot! Every single color is highly pigmented and the formula is perfection; the eyeshadows are smooth and blend beautifully! If you are a die-hard fan of rusty and warm-toned colors, you will love this one.


16. TheBalm Batter Up Eyeshadow Sticks ($17 US, click here to buy them)
These eyeshadow sticks are very creamy and have great color payoff. I like how the formula doesn't dry too fast, it gives me plenty of time to blend it! I've tested them out without a primer and they didn't crease or fade! They are waterproof and smudgeproof too, even on my oily lids. Out of all the shades, I love Shutout, Curveball and Dugout the most.

17. Benefit Ka-Brow! Cream-Gel Brow Color ($32 CAD, click here to buy it)
I bought this product a while ago, and I'm not sure why I waited so long to try it because it's awesome! My brows are very sparse so I like to draw tiny hair-like strokes, and this cream-gel is perfect for that. The formula is creamy but not too greasy, and I love the super precise brush too!

18. Esqido False Eyelashes ($32 US, click here to buy them)
Esqido is one of my favorite false lashes brand! I really love their Noire collection, the multi-curl effect is stunning. The lashes are very fluffy and they look amazing on the eye! My favorites? Mystic, Black Magic and Midnight Symphony!


19. NARS Powermatte Lip Pigments ($34 CAD, click here to buy them)
These liquid lipsticks are incredible!! The consistency is very thin but surprisingly, they are extraordinarily pigmented so they aren't streaky at all! One thin layer is all you need, and the formula doesn't dry too fast either.

20. MAC Liptensity Lip Pencils ($24 CAD, click here to buy them)
I'm very pleased with these new retractable lip pencils, I can draw a very sharp line with the angled tip! The formula is creamy, glides effortlessly on the skin, and all of the shades are very pigmented. Hands down the best lip pencils I've tested out this year! If I had to choose, my top 5 would be : La Sultana, Fresh Clay, Dionysus, Double Fudge and Honey Pecan.

21. Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte Lip Colors ($25 CAD, click here to buy them)
There's 15* shades to choose from, and they are all very pigmented! The formula dries down to a matte finish and once it sets, it doesn't budge or smudge. A big thumbs-up to Make Up For Ever because this formula is fabulous! *UPDATE : They just added 6 new shades to the range!!


22. Shiseido Rouge Rouge Lipsticks ($32 CAD, click here to buy them)
Enriched with an Hyaluronic Acid Complex, the Rouge Rouge lipsticks glide on easily and have a nice creamy consistency. The formula is fabulous, it feels smooth and hydrating on the lips! These lipsticks have great color payoff as well. My top five favorites are Sweet Desire, Rouge Rum Punch, Hushed Tones, Poppy and Rose Crush!

23. Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils ($25 CAD, click here to buy them)
These lip oils have a very glossy finish, smell great and moisturize like no other! The gel-oil consistency feels amazing on the lips. I love the new colors, especially the shades 04 Candy and 06 Mint!

24. L'Oréal Infallible Lip Paint in 314 Spicy Blush ($12.99 CAD, click here to buy it)
I love everything about this lipstick! The creamy formula is very pigmented and has a glossy finish, but it doesn't feel sticky at all. I love the shade 314 Spicy Blush, it's such a beautiful nude pink!


25. Glossier Balm Dotcom Universal Skin Salves ($15 CAD, click here to buy them)
The Balm Dotcom skin salve softens and hydrates my skin incredibly well, thanks to the lanolin and cocoa butter it contains. My favorite is Coconut and I like to use it on my lips, cuticles, heels and elbows! This is now my favorite lip balm of all time!

26. SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense Serum ($90 CAD, click here to buy it)
This serum is specifically formulated to decongest clogged pores, improve overall skin's appearance, diminish visible signs of aging and fight acne. I've tested out this serum for more than 3 months and every time I use it again, I'm amazed at how much my skin clears up!

27. Pixi Peel & Polish Resurfacing Concentrate ($34 CAD, click here to buy it)
Formulated with natural fruit enzymes and lactic acid, it exfoliates my skin without irritating it and it works its magic in less than two minutes. It leaves my skin feeling baby soft and helps fade acne marks!


28. MAC Creme d'Nude Eau de Parfum ($67 CAD, click here to buy it)
Creme d'Nude is a warm and sexy scent, fans of musk will love this one! I didn't expect to love it this much, but this is by far my favorite perfume ever! I love many perfumes, but now I can say that I found my signature scent.

29. Burberry My Burberry Blush Eau de Parfum ($98 CAD, click here to buy it)
I usually don't like floral perfumes, but this new My Burberry Blush eau de parfum is lovely! It has been my go-to perfume this summer. It begins with top notes of lemon and pomegranate; followed by middles notes of rose petals, green apple and geranium; all sitting on base notes of jasmine and wisteria.

30. Nails Inc Gel Effect Nail Polish ($17 CAD, click here to buy them)
I loooove these nail polishes! The wide brush is amazing, I can cover my entire nail with one stroke. I love the colors and the formula, it almost look like gel!
