The formula is truly one of a kind, it melts on the skin upon application. The texture is very thin and lightweight, I've never tried something like that! It feels a bit like a dry oil on the lips, it's not thick or sticky.
Surprisingly, the Ecstasy Shine lipsticks are great for hydrating and softening the lips!
Now, the scent may not be for everyone. It's quite strong and sometimes it can even taste a bit perfumey. But aside from that, I do enjoy the formula!
They are highly pigmented but translucent at the same time, so they let your natural lip color peek through.
The colors are definitely buildable, one swipe and I get a sheer wash of color with a slightly shiny finish. I can apply more if I want an intense color, it isn't 100% opaque but still highly pigmented.
Left to right : 500 Crescendo, 100 Smile and 300 Play.
The shades 300 and 500 left a stain on my lips, and they lasted a good 4-5 hours (although the shine was pretty much gone at this point), while the color 100 didn't stain my lips and only lasted 2 hours on me so I needed to apply it more often.
None of these shades accentuated dry skin or settled into my fine lines!
100 Smile is a warm pinky nude with a shiny finish and some tiny shimmers.
300 Play is a bright coral orange with a shiny finish.
500 Crescendo is a coral pink with a shiny finish.
The Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Shine Lipsticks retail for $43 CAD for 3g.
(I received these products in order to evaluate them and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)
I have never had the chance of trying this brand but from what I can see and read it seems really awesome! I love a lot the 300 Play shade, it would look great with my kind of skin.
