NYX just launched a new eyeshadow palette inspired by their Cosmic Metals Lip Creams! The Cosmic Metals Shadow Palette contains 6 richly pigmented shades with a metallic finish.

Can we just take a moment to admire how beautiful these colors are? They are so gorgeous and right up my alley!
In my opinion none of these shades have a true metallic finish on their own, but you can get that if you apply them with a wet brush!
The finish varies a little bit for each shade, the light pinky peach is very frosty while the rosy champagne has a chunky texture and the finish is more sparkly. All the other shades are shimmery but not frosty like the light pinky peach. (Yes, there's a difference between shimmery, frosty and metallic!)
They are incredibly pigmented even without a primer! But I noticed that the golden brown faded quite a bit by the end of the day, even if I used my trusty Urban Decay Primer Potion. This color is a strange one. On initial application it pulls more copper on my skin, but a few hours later it fades to a golden brown (like the color you see in the pan).
How weird is that?
Out of the 6 shades, two of them have a slightly chunky texture (the rosy champagne and the gold). So be careful when you apply these two, or else you may have fall outs all over your face.
The brown shade was strange, but I love the shades and the color payoff is out of this word!
Plus, this palette only cost $10 CAD!
The NYX Cosmic Metals Shadow Palette retails for $10 CAD for 8.22g (6 x 1.37g) and is available at Ulta.
