Make Up For Ever Star Lit Liquids

Is it me, or Make Up For Ever has been on a roll these days? The brand came out with many new products since the beginning of the year. And I'm not complaining, I love me some Make Up For Ever! Amongst these new launches is the Star Lit Liquid range. And you guessed it, I'm talking about these lightweight sparkling gels today!

Available in 5 sparkly shades :

1 Arctic White
2 Pink Beige
3 Gold Champagne
4 Golden Peach
5 Silver Dust

This isn't an highly pigmented and opaque product, but to be fair it's meant to be that way. It's a translucent gel packed with micro glitters!

The finish is beautiful, but it's a finicky product. It will crack and flake off if you apply too much product.

I like to apply a tiny amount with my fingertips over another eyeshadow, to add a gorgeous sparkly effect. But sometimes, it disturbs the eyeshadow underneath. It's not very noticeable from a normal viewing distance, but I'm a perfectionist and it bothers me.

Also, I think it's worth noting that this sparkly gel is scented. I think it's a bit weird for a product that is meant to be applied anywhere on the face, including the eyes.

It didn't irritate my skin, but it may be a problem if your eyes are very sensitive.

I have a love-hate relationship with the Star Lit Liquids.

They have a beautiful glittery finish and I haven't noticed any glitter fallout throughout the day (yay!), but they aren't always easy to use.
