Make Up For Ever Artist Acrylip Lip Paints

Inspired by the intensity of acrylic paint, Make Up For Ever's new Artist Acrylip lip paints are available in 10 bright and bold shades! The formula is supposed to be non-sticky and non-drying, while being extremely pigmented in one swipe.

The Artist Acrylip are very pigmented, you barely need any product to completely cover your lips! They have a creamy/liquid consistency and they never really set on the lips, so they aren't transfer proof. They are different than matte liquid lipsticks, and less drying too. I really love the texture, they weren't lying when they said that these lipsticks are non-sticky!

The finish varies depending on the amount of product applied on the lips ; a tiny drop will give you a satin finish while a thick layer will be more intense and glossy. They last longer on the lips when I apply a thick layer, but they tend to feather a bit more as well.

For best results, Make Up For Ever recommend that you line your lips with a lip pencil (I love their Aqua Lips!) before applying the lip paints. It does make the application process a lot easier and it helps prevent bleeding. If your lips aren't prone to feathering, you can wear the lipstick on its own but I would still recommend to use a lip brush to define the outer edges.

The only shades I didn't like were 201 and 501. The shade 201 settles into fine lines and the color 501 is a bit patchy for my liking. 

The formula reminds me of Too Faced's Melted Lipsticks, but the lip paints are scentless and feel weightless on the lips. The Artist Acrylip are thicker than OCC Lip Tars and less prone to feathering!

I think it's an interesting lip product and I love the colors!
