Launching next month, Urban Decay's Moondust Eyeshadow Palette features 8 intensely sparkly shades. If you love glitters, you're about to fall head over heels in love with the Moondust palette!

The formula is quite smooth for glittery eyeshadows, they don't feel gritty or chunky! They are a bit more sheer than I expected, the pigmentation is great but they look so much better with a primer.
The best way to apply the Moondust eyeshadows is with your fingers. They can be worn wet or dry as well! For a super intense color payoff, apply a tiny drop of MAC Mixing Medium (it can be the Water Base or the Eyeliner formula) on your lids and immediately apply the eyeshadow with your fingertips. Trust me, the sparkly finish will be out of this world!
For your information, the eyeshadows are smaller than a full-size Moondust eyeshadow. This palette contains 8 shades (0.7g each) for a total of 5.6g, while a full-size Moondust eyeshadow retail for $25 CAD for 1.5g. So basically, this palette has a value of $93 CAD. The price is a bit steep compared to other Urban Decay palettes but if you love the Moondust formula and want to buy many shades, I think this is a great deal!
Honestly, I rarely wear glittery eyeshadows but the Moondust palette is a nice addition to my makeup collection. This palette is all I need to satisfy my glitter cravings!
Specter is a soft pink with pink glitters.
Element is a peach with pink shift and a sparkly finish.
Magnetic is a purple with blue sparkles.
Lightyear is a bright green with green glitters.
Granite is a gunmetal grey with a sparkly finish.
Lithium is a golden brown with silver glitters.
Vega is a bright blue with blue sparkles.
Galaxy is a blue-gray with a turquoise sparkles.
The Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette retail for $70 CAD for 5.6g (8 x 0.7g).

These are such a throwback to the nineties! I love the shimmer to them and they're definitely all you need to add a bit of glitter to your eye shadow collection! Vega is gorgeous... I can't picture how to use it but it's a lovely shade!
ReplyDeleteI would wear Vega all over the lid with a matte medium brown in the crease, dark shimmery brown on the outter corner, shimmery beige on the inner corner and black eyeliner!
