Are you ready for another Fall makeup collection? I know I am! Today we are talking about the new NARS Fall 2016 Colour Collection, Powerfall! This collection features 2 contour blushes, 3 Dual-Intensity eyeshadows, 2 Velvet Matte lip pencils and 9 Velvet eyeliners.

Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in Arcturus ($36 CAD for 1.5g)
This deep indigo is stunning! It can be used wet or dry but I didn't feel any need to use it wet, the pigmentation is excellent! It last all day on me and didn't crease even without a primer!
It's not a shade everyone can wear, but it's gorgeous if you apply it properly! I like to wear Arcturus all over the lid with a warm brown into the crease, such as Anastasia Beverly Hills Caramel or MAC Brown Script. I suggest to apply your eye makeup first too, then wipe away any fallen eyeshadow and finish off with some concealer. Blue eyeshadow has no mercy for dark under-eye circles!
Contour Blush in Talia ($54 CAD for 2.7g + 5.5g)
The powders are incredibly soft and finely milled! They are highly pigmented and tend to kick up a lot of powder residue, so be careful when you swirl your brush in the pan. That being said, these powders are easy to blend and they don't look patchy.
The light shade is supposed to be an highlight powder, but as you can see it's darker than my skin tone (NC30) so I can't use it for that purpose. I do like to use it to blend the darker shade though! Speaking of which, the contour shade is great for warm skin tones! It doesn't pull mauve on me but it's not too warm either (cooler than Too Faced Chocolate Soleil and Benefit Hoola, but warmer than Rodial Instaglam Contouring Powder).
Velvet Eyeliner in Black Moon, Curaçao and London ($32 CAD for 1.1g)
This new formula is super creamy and easy to blend with a pencil or smudge brush! It doesn't fully dry down on the skin though, so it will smudge easily if you don't set it with an eyeshadow. It's not the best formula for hooded eyes, especially if you want to only wear it on the upper lash line, as it tends to transfer to the upper lid.
That being said, the creamy consistency makes it the perfect base for a smokey eye! In fact, I usually use MAC eye kohls for that purpose but these new NARS Velvet Eyeliners are way better, so creamy and incredibly pigmented!
(I received these products in order to evaluate them and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)
So many pretty products in this collection. The Indigo eyeshadow is stunning and I am really looking forward to trying these pencils!
