Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen in No. 01 Nude Radiance ($39 CAD for 1.4g)
Nude Radiance is a soft pearly beige with a translucent base, which means that it will look great on many skin tones! I can wear it when I'm tan and it doesn't look ashy, and when I'm not wearing any self tanner it doesn't look darker than my skin either. I think it's the perfect champagne color, not too golden or too pink toned! I also love the soft glow ; if you're not a fan of super frosty or metallic highlighters, I'm pretty sure that you'll love this one!
Now the thing I don't like is the packaging. I know, I know!! I usually like twist up pencils but in this case I wish it came in a pot instead. I tried to apply the product directly on my cheekbones and blend it, but every time I do that my foundation keeps coming off. The best way to apply it is to rub the pen on your finger and then apply the product on your cheekbones, bridge of the nose and cupid bow.
That being said, I still think it's a gorgeous highlighter and it last all day on me! By the way, both products are fragrance free.
Benefit Watt's Up has a similar sheen but the base is darker, I don't like this one when my skin is very pale. NARS The Multiple in Copacabana is a bit more silver and has lilac undertones on my golden skin. MAC Color Cream Base in Pearl is lighter and more opaque, less dewy. Colour Pop Super Shock Highlighter in Wisp is much darker.
Face Contour Effortless Contouring Pen in No. 01 Medium ($39 CAD for 1.6g)
The formula is different than other similar products, it's like a gel-cream! It's sheer but buildable and very easy to blend. It looks a bit shiny in this photo, but it dry down to a velvety and matte finish.
The shade No. 01 Medium is a medium brown with red undertones. It might be too warm for those of you with very fair skin, but it works really well on my medium golden complexion. If your skin is darker than mine though, the shade No. 02 Dark would be a better choice for you. On me the color is quite sheer but it looks natural, it sculpts my face subtly!
I think it's a great product but I would only use it to contour my nose or any other small area, as it's quite pricey for the amount of product you get.
Chanel Bronze Universel (Soleil Tan) is lighter and more orange. Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow is much more grey and lighter, the formula is very creamy and opaque. Colour Pop Super Shock Cheek Bronzer in Skinny Dip is much lighter and has a cream-mousse consistency. Rodial Eye Sculpt is less warm, it has a mousse consistency and it dry down to a powdery finish.
(I received these products in order to evaluate them and give my opinion, but rest assured that my comments are always honest and impartial.)
They look great! Nude radiance is such a beautiful champagne shade.

The shade is perfect! :)
DeleteWow - what a detailed post that includes swatches! You're making me want to get the Color Pop Wisp hilighter for some reason after seeing it!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I love Wisp, it's one of my favorites Colour Pop highlighters! ♥
DeleteI'm not sure either of these would work well with my skin since I am very very pale, but I love the look of both of them nonetheless! The packaging does seem a bit strange (and small?) for this sort of product...

I think you would love the highlighter, I'm very pale (NC15) when I'm not wearing self tanner and the color is perfect. In fact, it's perfect on tan skin as well because the base is very sheer.
