Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in #107

During my last trip to the drugstore, I couldn't resist to this beautiful matte red by Rimmel. The #107 shade is from the Lasting Finish Matte collection, which contains 7 shades with a matte finish.

#107 is a dark wine red with a matte finish. When I saw this shade for the first time, it kind of reminded me of MAC Deeply Adored and I admit that it was part of the reason why I bought it! However, the shade isn't identical on my lips : Deeply Adored is more red and rich. I also compared it to Nars Damned, but #107 is darker.

These lipsticks are less creamy and more drying than MAC Matte lipsticks, so I would highly recommend that you apply it over a light coat of lip balm. The scent is weird, but it disappear quickly.

The staying power is great! After 5 hours of wear, the colour isn't as deep and rich than when it's freshly applied on the lips, but it doesn't look patchy! I love how the matte texture prevent it from feathering or bleeding into the lines around the lips.

I love this shade and the matte finish, it's very trendy right now! I do wish that it was more creamy, but nothing a lip balm can't fix.
