MAC Prep + Prime Lip

It's about time that I review a MAC product, don't you think? In fact, I really wanted to order a couple of things from the last Rihanna collection, but I wasn't feeling well so I lost track of the time. When they released that collection, I completely forgot to order! Oh well. Anyway, I still want to show you one of my favorites products from MAC, something that I added to my makeup staples a long time ago : the Prep + Prime Lip!

Please, keep in mind that this is not a lipbalm, it's a primer. While it's not drying at all, it's less hydrating than a lipbalm. Also, balms don't help in adhering the colour to your lips as they have slip, this primer gets tacky so the lipstick adhere well on the lips.

It has the same delicious vanilla scent than MAC lipsticks and the product is smooth and glide on easily. You need to wait 1-2 minutes until it gets tacky or it won't work as well, then you can apply your lipstick.

It works for all my lipsticks, no matter the finish it has! It prevents my glossy lipsticks (you know, the ones that are too oily) from feathering and smudging in addition to making it last. It also makes wearing a usually dry matte lipstick (MAC Retro Matte, anyone?) very comfortable. It doesn't change the finish either, matte lipsticks stay matte! (your lipbalm doesn't do that, admit it!)

This is an amazing product, if you are a lipstick addict like me you will love it too! My only dislike about it is that you don't get a lot of product for the price.
